Chevron accent wall

Hi everyone! Here's another easy DIY accent wall I did last November for my bedroom wall. Again this was a budget friendly project for me, since I already had the paint. I used the previous wall paint and just added white paint to make it stand out. Let me just start off by saying that this one was a little complicated figuring out an easy way to do the chevron lines... But once I did it was super fast putting up the tape and painting. I ended up using a cardboard cutout.

I put little bits of tape to know which lines not to paint.

My finished wall. :)

Geometric Accent Wall

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna show you how I made my accent wall. Using ideas I got off online. This was a budget friendly project for me since I used paint I already had, I just added some white to my "new" paint to make it a few shades lighter.

  • I used 2 different sizes of 3M painters tape (which I personally like a lot whole lot better than frogs tape)
  • Paint, paint roller, and brush.
  • And a yard stick.

I started off by measuring the center of the wall to put my first square. I started with a 10" x 10" square. Added four 5" x 5" squares to the corners of the bigger square.

Next I finished the bigger squares 10"x10" and the 5"x5' squares.

After I was done measuring and putting on the painters tape my wall looked like this

Painted my wall with a lighter shade of paint. Let it dry the rest of the evening and pulled off the tape off in the morning. FYI when pulling off the tape do so, slowly or some paint will chip off.
